We map the restricted tissue.
For restricted tissue that hands alone can’t reach: specialized tools that find the catch and free it, so mobility comes back.
What It Is
Some restricted tissue sits deeper or firmer than fingers can work. You can feel the catch, but massage and stretching skim right over the spot that is holding you back.
IASTM uses specialized tools to find and treat that tissue. The smooth edge glides over the area, picks up the restriction hands would miss, and works it loose to restore your mobility.
It starts with a cause-first evaluation, one-on-one with a Certified Hand Therapist, every visit. Left alone, restricted tissue keeps limiting how far you move. If you would rather solve it than manage it, Andrew frees the tissue so exercise and daily use come easier.
Always optional, always explained first
What It Helps
If a spot feels dense or stuck no matter how you stretch it, restricted tissue is often why.

Questions, Answered
You’ll feel the tool glide with firm pressure, and a restricted spot can feel tender as it works loose. It’s brief, and many people feel more mobile before they leave. Some light redness afterward is normal and fades fast. You’re in control the whole time, and it’s always optional.
Those tools are the same idea, but the skill is the difference. Andrew uses the instrument to find the exact restriction from your cause-first evaluation, treats only what needs it, and pairs it with movement so the change lasts.
Many people feel more mobility within a few visits, and denser tissue eases with a little more time. Every session is one-on-one with a Certified Hand Therapist, so Andrew adjusts as you improve and builds a plan with an endpoint. Questions first? Call us at (360) 309-0176.
